Milwaukee Art Museum
An iconic building meets a stunning collection. Watch the Burke Brise Soleil (the “wings”) of the Santiago Calatrava–designed Quadracci Pavilion open with the Museum at 10 a.m., close and reopen at noon, and close with the Museum at 5 p.m. (8 p.m. on Thursdays). Four floors of over forty galleries of art are rotated regularly with works from antiquity to the present in the Museum’s far-reaching collection. The galleries display more than 2,500 pieces of art, including one of the largest collections of work by Georgia O’Keefe, and a quarterly-changing featured exhibition.
