And that’s a wrap on Connect Marketplace in Milwaukee! One of the largest gatherings of event experts from around the globe, this week, over 1,000 meeting, convention and sports planners arrived in Milwaukee for three days of one-on-one appointments, a massive tradeshow with everything from pickleball to puppies, and only-in-Milwaukee experiences like the Harley-Davidson Museum and Deer District.
At the heart of Connect Marketplace, of course, was the newly expanded Baird Center. The state’s largest convention center, now boasting over 1.3 million total square feet of space (spanning two full city blocks) wowed planners and organizers alike:
“This center is gorgeous,” said Connect’s Insley Conley via WTMJ-AM, “We have had the best morale while we've been here because it's just such a fun center to be in. I have seen so many people from different destinations walk in and see these windows and go, ‘Oh my gosh, this is awful for us,’ because this is going to bring so much business to Milwaukee instead of their destination.”
